Biological Activity:

A potent naturally occuring immunosupressant and anti-inflammatory terpenoid. Induces apoptotic death in T lymphocytes (1) and tumor cells (2). Inhibits T-cell IL-2 expression (3) at the level of NF-κB transcriptional activation. Inhibits induction of MMP-3, MMP-13, and ADAMTS-4 in cell culture (4)
