Biological Activity:

Platycodin D (PD) isolated from Platycodi Radix has been reported to have anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activities. "Platycodin D (PD), a major constituent of triterpene saponins in Platycodon grandiflorum, has also become an interesting candidate for cancer chemotherapy; however, little is known about apoptotic mechanisms on cancer cells.
